Vruksha Asana : Vruksha means tree. In this asana, the performer looks like a tree. Hence it is called Vruksha asana. It is called also as Tad asana.

How to do it : Stand erect on a carpet with feets just apart. Legs, knees, waist, back and neck should be straight. Raise your hand over the head with palms facing each other, while breathing in. Retain your breath and now stand on your toes by raising the body, shoulders and hands. Be in this position for two minutes at a stretch or with breaks. Come to the normal position while breathing out. In the beginning, you can take the support of a wall.

One gets the feeling of lightness of the body and obesity can be cured. It prevents heart-ailments and cures indigestion and constipation. It helps to increase the height of the children atleast by two to three inches than the normal growth and also gives a good shape to the body.

Bhujanga Asana : Bhujanga means 'snake'. In this asana, the person looks like a cobra with spread-out hood.

How to do it : Lie on your stomach on a thick (atleast quarter-inch thickness) carpet. Feet should be joined and rested on the toes. Then spread them as in the photograph; soles face the roof. Now place your palms at both sides of the chest by bending the hands at elbow. Chin should be firmly on the ground. Now have a deep breath and raise the body just above the naval point. Keep the neck a little bit backward. Be in this pose for a minute or two. Breath out while coming to normal. Relax for a while.

It can cure the diseases related to heart, lungs and the spinal column. It cures the disorders of the uterus. It improves digestion and increases appetite. As it sharpens the memory power, all the students (both boys and girls) should do it daily for two minutes.
