Jupiter the great benefic always infuses optimism, righteousness, jovial spirit and god-fearing nature and abundance of wealth and knowledge if not afflicted. An unafflicted Jupiter will have positive influence on a native. But an afflicted Jupiter spoils every available opportunity, by infusing an attitude of dissolution, over indulgence, lavishness, deceitfulness, hypocrisy, boastfullness and also laziness. Jupiter enters Sagittarius, its Moolatrikona on 21 November 2007 at 29h 03m and remains there for about a year.

MUNDANE EFFECTS OF JUPITER'S TRANSIT
Jupiter and Saturn will be in mutual konas (trine) during the period of Jupiter's stay in Sagittarius. But the aspect will be within orbs from 1 January 2008 to 8 February 08, 8 August 08 to 8 December 08. Results: The world economy will show signs of improvement. Extravagance and wasteful expenditure will be reduced. World trade and commerce will register growth. National finance will improve. Tax burden on common man will be comparatively less. Almost all countries will register increased revenue collection. Shipping activities will thrive well and will be more profitable. Religious institutions get greater autonomy and resist aggression. Influence of religion on the people and countries will increas. France, Italy, Rumania, Turkey, Switzerland, Iraq, Brazil, Arabia, Australia, India, Morocco, Afghanistan, Bulgaria may reap the maximum benefit. Other countries will be moderately benefited.

Mars will be in the 7th from Jupiter from 22 November 2007 to 26 April 2008, in the 8th from 27 April 2008 to 21 June 2008 and in quadrant from Jupiter from 10 August 2008 to 25 September 2008.
Results: Mass movements against the governments, popular excitement among the people leading to demonstrations, rioting and unlawful acts, religious disputes and disturbance, communal violence; activity and activism in the law courts, thunderstorms, lightning and sometimes much heat are marked. Major cities and towns, banks, treasuries, rulers and the progeny of the rulers and the beauracracy will be adversely affected. Man made and natural disasters cause huge loss of life and property. Ships, buses, trains, aeroplanes subject to accidents. Violence, fire accidents strikes and huge loss of life are indicated.

Jupiter transiting Moola, Poorvashada and uttarashada: Doctors, Organisers, leaders, those dealing with flowers fruits, seeds, rich people will be subjected to suffering and loss. Dacoits, terrorists, murderers and debauchers will have a bad time. But the people in general will be moderately happy. In India the stability of the U.P.A. government looks intact, despite criticism from the supporting and opposing parties for the lackluster performance. The gains of economic growth will not be specifically visible due to heavy expenditure and sometimes the various government programmes face funds crunch. From 2008 April onwards the government will gain popularity and register good economic growth.

Pakistan will continue to suffer from religious fundamentalism and economic woes upto 2008 March. A ground will be prepared to hold elections democratically. Some kind of understanding or a deal with the opposition parties especially with the PPP is in sight. Musharaaf may find the going though. He has to concede the demands of the opposition and succumb to international pressure for true democracy in the country. One more dastardly attempt on his life by the fundamentals is not ruled out.

In Bangaldesh, the grip of the military backed interim government may be weakened. Popular discontentment against the government may grow after 2008 2nd quarter and Hasina and Zia will come to the forefront to fight for elections. Economic front doesn't look bright

In Nepal, the present discontentment and internal turmoil are likely to subside in 2008 and the country is all set to have a constitution representing the concerns of all sections of the society. External aid will pour on.

In Srilanka, the government and the LTTE will have a relook on their war agenda. Some kind of rethinking and reconciliation on the part of the government and the LTTE to find ways to end the bloody war is on cards. There is likelihood of the Srilankan Parliament dissolved and go for fresh elections. Attacks on Parliamentarians and top leaders, or army personnel are not ruled out.

In Iraq, reconciliation among Shia, Sunni and Kurdish leaders and Parliamentarians for a stable government is foreseen. Suicide bombers continue to claim many lives.

In Iran, internal struggle and political turmoil for liberalization of radical laws are indicated. American threat over nuclear tangle may recede after 2008 March. Sweeping changes in the country are visible. More liberals may enter parliament or radical parliamentarians exhibit liberal ideas.

Israel and Palestine will continue to pass through a period of political instability, dissidence and discontentment. Peace is not assured as conflict seems to rage.

The leadership in Russia will embark on spending huge sums on armed forces modernization and for acquisition of deadly weapons and missiles. The economy register growth from 2008 onwards. The foreign affairs front will remain less controversial and more favourable for the country. New trade agreements are likely. Fresh treaties will be signed.

For England aerial disasters and floods due to heavy rain or storms are awaited. The Prime Minister Gordon Brown may advance elections and call for snap poll in 2008. He is likely to retain power.

In U.S.A. Jupiter will bring new legislation regarding hospitals, asylums and prison houses. Accidents on rail, road or airways are not ruled out. American people will be more religiously inclined. Orthodox beliefs dominate the scene and relegate rationalism to the background temporarily.
